Copenhagen, Denmark

2-year-old Vincent's room is crisp and clear, and decorated in classic Scandinavian tones of browns, white, blues and greys alongside the occasional pop of colour.

Everything in here is carefully selected leaving room – figuratively as well as literally – for Vincent to play and to create imaginary worlds of his own.

The large windows bring in a lot of natural light. In the window sits a large mushroom lamp.

The grey shelf is from Hay, and on it is a drum, colourful suitcases and a lovely, wooden snail.

An allergy-friendly duvet from Nordic Sleep by Fossflakes hangs over the vintage wooden bed, which was found on dba.dk. Underneath the duvet is a knitted blanket from Aiayu.

A Babar poster hangs on the wall over a basket full of toys. A large raffia circus basket, which also is used to store toys, is placed by the end of the bed.

The rocking sheep is designed by Danish designer Povl Kjer.

A look down the hallway through to Vincent sister's room.

Seen here: A Charlie Chair in off white, a knitted cactus on the shelf and a sailor striped t-shirt hanging on the door.

Duvets and pillows from Nordic Sleep by Fossflakes, are filled with the Fossflakes filling. This patented filling, which feels like natural down and feathers, keeps your child at a perfect temperature all night long.

On top; a green pillow from Aiayu.

6 fish posters, that used to hang in Vincent's grandmother's house, are hung over the shelf and create a calm look.

On the shelf underneath is a knitted cactus, a magic spring, some of Vincent's toy cars, a wooden monkey from Kay Bojesen, a firetruck and two colourful suitcases.

Some of Vincent's favourite books are placed in the window sill by the bed. Here is also a celebration ring plus figures and candles from Grimm's.

The vintage bed fits perfectly by the window on the opposite side of the room.

Pillows are from Aiayu, and the comfortable and soft duvet- and pillow set is from Nordic Sleep by Fossflakes.

"Vincent's favourite thing to do is to build a train track that stretches all the way from his room, into the kitchen – and back again. I remember doing the same as a child."

– Victoria, Valdemar's mom

A look from the door and into the spacious, airy room where less is more and everything has been carefully selected.

In here: A Babar poster, a raffia circus basket, books and wooden accessories from Grimm's.

24 markers and the Little Prince pop up book are found on a vintage table and chair, that were purchased at a flea market. Next to the table is a vintage duck on a stick – a similar one is found here.
